Bible Made Clear is designed to work without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use the minimum information needed to sync your reading progress, journal entries, and preferences across devices.
Information we handle
- Your email address and display name when you sign in securely.
- Your completed readings, optional journal notes, preferred Bible version, reading size, audio speed, and reminder time.
- Your reply address and message if you send a support request.
- Basic technical requests needed to operate and secure the app.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide account sign-in, sync your app data, remember your preferences, operate the Bible reading experience, respond to support requests, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use journal entries for advertising.
Other services
The Bible library uses the YouVersion Platform to retrieve Bible translations and passages. Passage requests may be sent to YouVersion, but Bible Made Clear does not send your journal entries to YouVersion. Secure account authentication is provided by the app’s hosting platform.
Storage and retention
Unsigned journal notes and preferences stay in your browser or app storage. Signed-in data and support requests are stored in Bible Made Clear’s hosted database until they are resolved, deleted, or no longer needed. Operational logs may be retained for a limited period for security and reliability.
Your choices
You may use the app without signing in, clear local app data through your device or browser, or permanently delete your synced Bible Made Clear profile and journal data from the account-deletion page.
